A credit note can cancel the whole invoice or part of it. The percentage is free.
Refund or deduction
Either you refund by transfer, or you deduct from the next payment. The choice appears on the document.
Effect on your figures
A fully credited invoice drops to zero: it leaves your collected revenue without being deleted.
